- I would like to talk about the project WikiEdit: Slovak Folk Culture. This project was organized in 2018. The WikiEdit involved experts from the field of social and cultural anthropology from Slovak scientific institutions, universities and cultural institutions. With their help and in cooperation with lay editors, several valuable and professional articles on Wikipedia on the topic of Slovak folk culture were created. At the same time, interesting materials were added to Commons.
- How will this session be beneficial for the communities in the region of Central and Eastern Europe?
- The session will give tips for organizing a thematic editathon for experts and lay editors.

- The main idea was the cooperation of experts from the field of social and cultural anthropology from Slovak scientific institutions, universities, and cultural institutions.
- Experts from Wikipedia can tell you what is the best way to make an article on Wikipedia. First time in the Library of the Institute of Ethnology and Social Anthropology she got an idea to publish some of that knowledge on Wikipedia and to make it public that way.
- The first phase of this project was writing the project proposal, and it must include questions about why, how, what...
- Then meeting of experts, and the last one was WikiEdit. Her plan was a discussion of which articles should be fixed and which to create.
- After that they could choose 20 topics for articles, 10 to fix, 10 to create. The institutions gave them a bibliography.
- This project had 15 participants, 7 new articles, 7 edited articles and 6 experts from 6 institutions.

- A1: Yes, there were a few people who couldn't come, and they helped us online.
- Q2: Was it difficult? Was there skepticism?
- A2: There was a lot of institution which has not got any time to help us.
