Visita de representantes de la Fundación Wikimedia
Tuvimos el placer de recibir la visita de Katy Love y Garfield Kyrb representantes de la Fundación Wikimedia . Durante 4 días estuvieron en contacto con nuestra comunidad, comisión directiva y parte del staff de Wikimedia Argentina donde se interiorizaron con el estado de los proyectos educativos, de federalización y GLAM.
La visita comenzó con el primer encuentro wikipedista del año en The Temple Bar y continuó con una recorrida por la escuela ORT donde se presentaron parte de los proyectos educativos que estamos trabajando y una visita la Televisión Pública donde pudieron presenciar parte del planeamiento de las actividades que se realizaran en torno al proyecto GLAM.
Editatón Género y Brecha Digital
El sábado 21 de marzo se realizó la editatón de género y brecha digital junto a IIPE UNESCO. Durante toda la jornada se reunieron voluntarios wikipedistas y asistentes impulsados por el deseo de trabajar en la creación y enriquecimiento de una serie de artículos dedicados a discutir el tópico de género y brecha digital en la Wikipedia.
Desayuno de trabajo en IIPE UNESCO
En el marco del mes de la mujer junto con el Instituto Internacianl de Planenamiento de la Educación de la UNESCO realizamos un desayuno de trabajo. El evento se realizó en el Auditorio de IIPE UNESCO y contó con la participación de diferentes referentes en el área de de Género y Tecnología de la Argentina como Conectar Igualdad, Redetis, Girls in Tech, Fundación Evolución, Educ.ar y Zona Relpe.

Representatives of the Wikimedia Foundation visited Wikimedia Argentina
We had the pleasure of receiving the visit of Katy Love and Garfield Kyrb, representatives of the Wikimedia Foundation. Over 4 days, they had the opportunity to meet our community, our Directive Commission and part of the staff at Wikimedia Argentina, where they were updated on the status of our educational, federalization and GLAM projects. The visit started with the first Wikipedist meeting of the year at The Temple Bar, and continued with a visit to the ORT school where they presented part of the educational projects we are working on.
Finally they visited the Public Television station where they got an insight of part of the planning of the activities carried out around the GLAM project.
Gender and Digital Breach Editathon
On Saturday 21st March we held the gender and digital breach editathon in cooperation with IIEP UNESCO. Volunteer Wikipedists and assistants gathered for this event, with the wish to work in the creation and improvement of a number of articles on the subject of gender and digital breach in Wikipedia.
IIEP UNESCO Working Breakfast
We attended a working breakfast with the UNESCO International Institute of Educational Planning, within the frame of the celebration of Women’s month. This event took place in the IIEP UNESCO Auditorium and counted with the participation of several referents in the area of Gender and Technology in Argentina, such as Conectar Igualdad, Redetis, Girls in Tech, Fundación Evolución, Educ.ar and Zona Relpe.
