Topics

What I'd like to explain, be asked for and like to discuss in Maynooth and beyond

  • d:Wikidata:1Lib1Nearby, see 1Lib1Nearby, a digital method of using Wikidata to explore the local area and maintain open cultural data everywhere
  • Wikisource + Wikidata (+Commons), see the german citizen science project v:de:DieDatenlaube
  • Wikiversity*ies: a potentially multilingual OER tool for upcomming WikiLibCons and their outcomes
  • Tactical Nearbyism in the Wikiverse as a mode of digital w:en:Placemaking
  • DatenlaubeJam, a weekly online session in Dresden promoting Open Cultural Data Hackability of librarians with citizen scientists and local historians – some of them (than becoming) wikimedians
  • Linked Open Storytelling with the Wikiverse, d:Q66631860, ..., Scholia: https://scholia.toolforge.org/event/Q111983324

A conceptual idea

  • Imagine Tactical Nearbyism as Digital Placemaking: Nearby open data maintainance + local (and potentially international, see above) linked open data link relations for human interaction in real life AND/OR in digital (educational) spaces (Wikiversity et al.) (see the concept and ideas of w:Tactical urbanism)

Type of submission (Please choose one)

edit
  • Lightning sessions (Short talks/shares in an un-conference format) (5-8 minutes)
  • Individual Presentations (15 minutes)
  • Tutorials, Trainings or Workshops (75 minutes)

What ever best fits with existing programming.

  1. AfricanLibrarian There is a whole lot to unbundle here and I am interested in all the bits! I want to understand how to link Wikidata + Wikisource. The idea of using Wikiversity to promote OER is one of the areas we have identified as needful in Africa. I want to learn about how it can be done. Dear Nkem Osuigw, @AfricanLibrarian:, for my OER pieces with Wikiversities please see my (german) portfolio over there: v:de:Benutzer:Jeb. Viele Grüße! Jens
