Abstract edit
The Kansas City Public Library is home to the first Wikipedian in Residence (WiR) at a public library in the United States. In this session, we will discuss what a WiR is, how WiRs collaborate with community members and GLAM institutions (Galleries, Libraries, Archives, and Museums), why collaborations between Wikipedia and public libraries are mutually beneficial, and reflections from the first year of this residency at KCPL.
