Problem: Communicating news to the press and providing relevant documentation to allow journalists to produce news and articles.

Solution: Providing the instructions to make a press kit or to find the already existing documents to make the press kit.

What problem does this solve?

During the implementation of Wikimania Esino Lario we are interested in providing journalists with news and documentation which can support them in writing about our event, to inform the public and to critically analyze our work. The common way to provide news and documentation is to have a press kit and to send out press communicates. Since we have to do it quite regularly we need to accelerate the process and allow both teams working in Italian, English and other languages to find the information they need to respond to the press.

What is the solution?

Press kit

The press kit is a series of documents (printed or/and digital documents) provided to the press (all sorts of media). The press kit of Wikimania Esino Lario is made of the following documents.

FAQ	A 1-2 pages document with a series of frequently asked questions with links to online references. What is Wikimania? Why Esino Lario? How Esino Lario will be able to host such a large event?
Esino Lario	A page about Esino Lario (the location of our event): history, culture/identify, quality of the landscape.
Images	A series of images (5-10), 300 DPI for a publication size (i.e. 30 cm large) with a significant title including the main and essential attribution.
