WHEREAS

these proceedings describe "Wikimania Congress 2009" to be held in 2009, and request the sponsorship of this University for the performance of such event in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and

TAKING INTO CONSIDERATION THAT

this important event is held annually since 2005, drawing a multitude of attendants from around the world, who collaborate in Wikimedia projects, and other people interested in wiki technology, thereby generating a proper environment for discussion about social movements in culture and education on the Internet;

the "Wikimania Congress 2009", if held in our country by Wikimedia Argentina, has among its goals to promote Wikimedia projects and its educational contents in the languages spoken on Argentine land;

THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNIVERSITY

hereby RULES:

Section 1º: To give the National University of La Plata sponsorship to the holding of "Wikimania Congress 2009" in the City of Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Section 2º: To comunicate this ruling to the Civil Association Wikimedia Argentina and to the Computer Technology Department; let it be noted to the University Extension Secretary and FILED.
