Abstract: The project proposal for CORe (Club of Rome Education Project) aims at the creation of a Digital Library in order to promote understanding of the main issues around sustainable development: The Problematique (the sum of all the World Problems) and the Resolutique (how to solve these Problems). This session will explain the main issues and propose a collaboration scheme with various possible levels of collaboration. Ideally Wikipedia could serve as an information engine within CORe and be integrated by data engines, visualization engines, simulation engines. Potential research partners include major universities and think tanks, associations as well as individuals that contribute for the interface, programming, infrastructure as well as the taxonomy, ontology and relational issues. Due to the size and complexity of the project the time frame is long term.
The Session will deliver an introduction into sustainable development issues, Long term thinking, the history of The Club of Rome and The Limits to Growth Publication, the Problematique, the Resolutique, Models of an integrated Digital Library for Sustainable Development (CORe).
