What about a Wiki to collect pedigree and genealogy data? This wouldn't be interesting just for historians but also for many people searching relatives and so on.
- You might want to check out WikiTree. This started out as a new project proposal but the person starting it was tired of the internal politics of Wikimedia and just started the server. Some mistakes happened, but it looks like a very interesting project. I would recommend that eventually it be adopted by the Wikimedia Foundation if the current owner of the server gets either overwhelmed with usage or is tired of having to do the technical stuff keeping the site going. --Roberth 11:25, 13 July 2005 (UTC)
