  1. Give the blue colour a more "wikipedian" tone, as it is now it's far too dark and stands out from the other blues of the wiki logos. Also maybe add lines or some content to the book, atm it looks like a paper aeroplane.90.231.60.96 21:17, 16 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  2. The detail of the world is better then the detail of the book, the design makes it hard to tell if the world is intended to be inside or on top of the book, and its hard to tell what its suppose to be at a small size. This logo is both too simple and too detailed at the same time, not a very good combination. --darklama 14:23, 26 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  3. I do agree with Darklama --217.229.13.146 13:31, 1 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  4. Could be the Logo of an geography book or atlas. --Matthias 14:38, 1 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  5. I like this. Maybe the globe could be more transparent. IMHO it's too sharp. --Pietrodn · talk with me 13:01, 3 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  6. Change grey lines to black, reduce detail on globe, and remove the unnecessary slogan. By far the best logo.
  7. I agree with the raised objections to puzzle pieces from wikipedia, but thoughts on using the wikiversity-style globe in this? It's not puzzle pieces, and it's not specific to wikiversiy. --superflyguy 04:54, 17 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  8. Yes, making the globe less detailed wd make this a lot better, but otherwise, I like it. 92.3.141.219 12:46, 22 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  9. I really love this logo. I agree with Pietrodn, though. The globe could have a little bit of transparency, because it is very sharp. But I love it. The Obento Musubi 05:28, 25 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  10. Agree the logo is charming and effective. Agree the book is a bit light and vague and the globe a bit dark and detailed. Is anyone concerned the book looks kind of empty (except for the world popping out of it)?
  11. Is there green variants with less detail in the glob? The preceding unsigned comment was added by 128.250.6.247 (talk • contribs) 20:16, May 27, 2008.
  12. Sorry, I just don't like this one 207.157.239.252 16:51, 28 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  13. The black continents are a little... harsh. Could use a little spruce'. This logo is okay, but is also a little cliché (I rhymed! Hey hey hey! (sorry, that was pushing it)). Tkgd2007 01:02, 31 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  14. I like this logo, I don't think it needs any changes. Red4tribe 22:54, 1 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  15. I like this logo. It should stay the way it is. Kivar 02:15, 2 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  16. s is a very nice logo and the slogan should be kept. I think the globe should have a minute amount of more color --anonymous 14:16, 10 June 2008
  17. like the slogan, the image dosnt do anything for me Saltysailor 21:52, 11 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  18. Oppose both - D and J are better options in my opinion. This one isn't bad, the others are just better choices, I think. The "too detailed" globe might be fixed by using longitudinal and latitudinal lines instead of continents. Probably 3 or 5 (at the most) in each direction; more would clutter things again. --Willscrlt (Talk) 20:07, 13 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  19. I added (D10d), part of Proposal D, to this proposal, since it was inspired by this proposal and is a hybrid of the two. I thought that it might be a compromise that people would like. Please feel free to discuss it on the D page. --Willscrlt (Talk) 06:03, 16 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  20. Oppose to all (S): nice idea, bad realization. -- RaminusFalcon «…» («it.wikipedia») 07:33, 19 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  21. Oppose all, sorry folks, I don't really like any of the 3 book images used here, and the world superimposed on them looks very obviously superimposed. Any improvement would need to bring the book and the world into more stylistic harmony --Mcld 11:21, 27 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  22. IMHO, I don't think the logos/icons presented here capture the style or visual representation of the other Wiki- properties' icons/logos. However, what I do like about this particular icon, aside from the black and blue globe, is that the light-grey outline of the book page somewhat resembles the letter "w". Perhaps that logo can be redesigned to make the page outline more closely resemble the letter "w" or something along that line. Also, someone in an older comment suggested creating a graphic of a globe constructed of books. I had the thought of a Gutenberg Press constructed of books but with the level of detail and style of the Wikipedia logo, perhaps with a visual style reminiscent of engraving. Just my thoughts. --Mlpreiss 03:45, 6 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  23. oppose Looks like the globe is on a cushion, is this Wikifurniture? NOT FIERCE! Davumaya 19:41, 16 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  24. oppose This logo doesn't represent the multiplicity of books in wikibook. --Gdgourou 10:51, 21 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  25. Change the continents on the first selection from black to green but the others just don't cut it. -- anonymous 20:52, 23 July 2008
  26. I like the first one (s). Simple and clean, gets the point across. I like the blue and white colors, and the globe is a nice touch. As someone else mentioned, however, maybe the book should have horizontal lines to indicate pages. I didn't notice before, but it really does kind of look like a mattress or something. 24.229.149.144 13:31, 29 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  27. Oppose all- Per Gdgourou comment. --Panic 23:52, 11 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  28. I like the second one, it would be better with the logo. I think the globe represents the idea that a book it's not the work of one single man, but of all humankind.
  29. 1. I personally like the bright colours of the third version a lot, but to make this logo blend more with the other Wiki logos, we could use more of the colours from the second version. The shape of the book in v.3 is best, because the earth looks more hovering. To make it look more like a book, the bottom layer could have the shape of a rounded spine. Also, although I don’t think it’s necessary, the printed area on the pages could be shown as dark grey on light grey.
  30. 2. For the earth, the best to use is a picture of a blue earth with clouds, like the one on this page: http://spacewatch.wordpress.com/2008/04/ It doesn’t "favour" a certain part of the world and is immediately recognizable. On the favicon, I think there should be a circle for the earth, but there just in plain blue.
  31. 3. To show that editing / contributing is possible, and to indicate the connection with computers, I propose to include a hand cursor icon touching the book. Geke 18:08, 26 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  32.   Neutral I will support the first logo E(a) if the blue tone of the book's borders are washed out a bit more and if the globe gains a less powerful blue (as the current one clashes with the rest of the image) Booksworm 19:53, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  33. I like this one, though I agree that it should be lighter, so as to fit in with the other wikimedia logos. I created a variation on this logo, using the globe from the WikiNews logo, minus the lines, over a book that I made myself, using the colors from the globe. You can see it here (favicon). Either Way, I   Support this one. If people like it, I can post the SVG. Nuck Chorris 0 03:09, 20 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  34.   Oppose I think it has too much of a geographical slant: it looks to much like a logo for an atlas or news site - Wikibooks should have a logo that doesn't empahasise any one field. Inductiveload 18:13, 15 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
