Told Cities and WHIntangible project progress edit

Nassima Chahboun updated the progress on the Told city and WHIndanger projects. She contacted several countries for potential partnerships and all except Uzbekistan have agreed upon the partnership.

Kenya has agreed to collaborate on the Intangible as well as WHIndanger project, while Uganda, Croatia, Russia, Ethiopia and Senegal have agreed to collaborate on the WHIndanger project.

A training session needs to be conducted for Ethiopia and Senegal.

Guatemala (Antigua city) will be self-funding the project. Additionally, they will also be working with photogrammetry tools for 3 buildings to create 3D pictures which will be uploaded on Wikimedia.

All the countries will be hosting their photowalks from August to October 2022.

Wiki Heritage Hour edit

The project was launched on 5th May 2022 and is moderated by Khushi Shah. 2 sessions of the same have already been conducted and the plan for all the upcoming schedules and respective speakers was discussed and finalised in the meeting.

The discussion also focused on involving other Wikimedians for the upcoming sessions and inviting other Affiliates to participate as well.

WHIntangible project edit

The project is to be launched on 1st September 2022. The planning and administration work required for the same was discussed in the meeting. Additionally, a call for volunteers from Wikimedia community as well as other heritage enthusiasts has to be launched.

Social Media coordination edit

The upcoming strategy for the projects was communicated.

Other Collaborations edit

  • Photo Heritage Walk (Told City) – City of Ahmedabad (World Heritage City) in collaboration with ICOMOS India’s celebration ‘Azadi ka Amritutsav, 75 years of Independence of India’.
  • A workshop on ‘Heritage and Conflict’ in collaboration with CHN Youth (Climate Heritage Network Youth).
