Wiki Society of the Philippines/Projects/UST Debate Forum 2010

Wikimedia Philippines was invited by the College of Science and Debate and Drama Society (SDDS) of the University of Santo Tomas, Manila on December 15, 2010 for a Science Debate Forum held at the UST Main Building. Vice President Joseph "Jojit" Ballesteros served as a resource person for SDDS's 7th Science Debate Championship where participants debate about the benefits and detriments of Wikipedia. Jojit conducted a seminar about pros and cons of Wikipedia so that the 2nd year college students, who are participants of the debate competition, would have an idea about Wikipedia and its effect on society.

There were about 30 debaters who participated in this event. Left-over Wikimedia brochures from previous events were give to them. Wikimedia Philippines didn't spent anything on this event. Bel Ballesteros accompanied Jojit to the event and answered some questions as well by the participants.
