Wiki Hour Initiative stared activities in November 2020 to support ad-hoc community members. The group intends a collaborative group with a purpose to bring together ad-hoc individuals to be trained remotely and also improve Wikimedia projects by participating in subject matters related to SDGs. Newbies from each project are usually redirected to existing Wikimedia communities and affiliates in the country.

What we stand for

The Wiki Hour seeks to draw both newbies and experienced Wikimedians across Ghana who are actively online and give off an hour or two to contribute to wikipedia on a weekly basis. The group comprises of Environmental activists within several organisations, related to SDGs and Fact-checking.

Focus Area

The Wiki Hour Initiative project(s) seeks to include voices and contributions from researchers, journalists, climate and environmental activist, hearing impaired persons and experienced wikimedians, media Organizations and students to make Wikipedia more relevant in content for the SDGs.
