Wiki Explores Sharjah - Phase I

Wiki Explores Sharjah- Phase I is a two months event to document the area and cultural elements of Sharjah town subdivision situated in the emirates Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. The objective of this event is to photo document the various heritage structures in this region.The Sharjah Light Festival is held annually in February in the third largest city in the UAE. During the festival, the city's iconic landmarks come to life with a vibrant display of colorful lights that are expertly choreographed to music. Both local and internationally renowned artists are showcased, making it a unique celebration of both cultural and artistic talent.

Emirates of Sharjah

Starting from 5th February , the Sharjah Art Foundation (SAF) will bring together an impressive array of over 150 artists and collectives from more than 70 countries for the 15th edition and 30-year anniversary of the Sharjah Biennial. Curated by SAF's Director Hoor Al Qasimi and inspired by the late Okwui Enwezor's groundbreaking work, Sharjah Biennial 15: Thinking Historically in the Present will pay tribute to Enwezor's visionary impact on the contemporary art world, and his influence on institutions and biennials around the world, including the Sharjah Biennial.
