- The Chapter and Offline Participation
In 2011 there where two females (and seven males) in the Wikimedia Sverige board. The chapter itself has already done a lot of outreach projects.
- Wikipedia
The Swedish language version of Wikipedia rank 13 out of 280 wikipedia languages with 101 million views per month. It has 830 active users (more than 5 edits per month) and 112 very active users (more than 100 edit per month) in December 2011.
Wikipedia is heavily used in Sweden, with 9 million inhabitants generating 4.4 million page views per day, or 131 million page views per month during 2011.[1] Of these page views, 40% go to the English Wikipedia, while 55% go to the Swedish language Wikipedia.[2] In December 2011, according to Alexa, Wikipedia was ranked the 6th most popular site in the country.[3] In December 2011, there were 4,180 women of all ages from Sweden who were interested in Wikipedia.[1]
In the Swedish language version of Wikipedia, separate categories for biographic articles by gender were introduced in 2008, which is how we know that there are four times as many articles about men (101,772) than articles about women (23,593). As shown by the graph, the ratio is 1:3 for living people (A), while it is 1:10 for the early 19th century (B). There is a project to write about notable women: sv:Wikipedia:Projekt kvinnor.
On English Wikipedia, there are 2 articles about roller derby leagues from this country. There are 3 articles about women's basketball teams in this country on French Wikipedia. There are 21 articles about women's association football clubs in this country on English Wikipedia. There are 66 articles about models from this country on English Wikipedia. Annika Sörenstam is an article about a Swedish golfer. It is an A-Class Article, one of the highest assessment types for articles on English Wikipedia.

- The Foundation
In 2007 The Foundation hired Lennart Guldbrandsson, at the time chair of Wikimedia Sverige board, as the fourth fellow. Wikimedia Sverige also has been receiving grant from the Foundation amounting USD 2000 in 2010 and 1,981,682 SEK in 2011. During the December 2011 fund raising appeal, no Swedes, men or women, were featured as part of the appeal.
