editBelgium has three official languages: Dutch, French and German. A number of non-official minority languages are spoken as well.

Belgium contributors mainly work in three languages wikipedia; Dutch, French, and German. In December 2011, there were 12,520 people and 6,140 women of all ages from Belgium who were interested in Wikipedia on Facebook.[1] Male and female contributors from this country unknown, data unavailable. The large majority is male but there are no exact numbers.

- The Foundation
During the December 2011 fundraising appeal, no Belgians, men or women, were featured as part of the appeal. During the 2011 Summer of Research, the WMF hired eight research fellows. Of these, only one was female, and she was from the United States. There were four males from American universities, The other researchers included men from a Japanese university, a Swiss university and a Canadian university. There were no research fellows, male or female, from this country.
