Facebook'da kömək etmək istəyirsiniz? edit

A limited number of experience WikiWomen who also are comfortable engaging on Facebook and curating content have administrative access. During this pilot period, we ask for patience and understanding!

Things you can do:

  • Invite your friends to like the Facebook page.
  • Share posts made by WikiWomen's Collab on your Facebook and Twitter
  • You can post on the Facebook page - share your post and we'll make sure it's promoted.

Məsləhətlər edit

  • We only send two posts a day based on your location. Too many posts and people will "unlike" or ignore your posts. Based on social media research the suggested posting times are morning and mid afternoon.
For example: in the US, Sarah posts one post at 11 AM Pacific time and another post at 8 PM Pacific time
  • If you post an event, in our event section, when you post about it make sure you localize it using the custom share tab and the country or state it's taking place in. Therefore people who do not live there don't have it clogging up their stream.
  • All of our Facebook posts are tweeted so keep that in mind :)

Other tips:

  • " A good rule of thumb is to have one marketing message for every nine to ten informational posts."[1]

Facebook səhifəsi üçün təkliflər edit

Share photos, ideas and posts. Once these are implemented they will get archived. Even admins should post ideas - please do not post polls or make major changes until you discuss them with the community on the talk page.

Note: Controversial content like "naked gardening day" and subjects related to adult content on Commons should not be posted. Keep your audience in mind, and keep things positive.

Facebook'da şəkilin istifadəsi ilə bağlı edit

Due to Facebook policy, and thanks to research by the Wikimedia Foundation, we can only use certain licenses on Facebook:

  • CC BY SA
  • CC Zero
  • Public domain
  • Any images taken by the Wikimedia Foundation can be used
  • Any images you take yourself

All images must be credited with the photographer and the license.

Requesting permission to use photos that don't fall under required license edit

We can use CC BY SA and other images if permission is granted by the photographer/owner. Steps to gain permission:

  • Write a letter or leave a talk page message informing the owner that you'll be using it on Facebook for a social media outreach project to engage more women to edit Wikipedia. Let them know that you require permission to use the image CC BY A 3.0 on Facebook. List the photographs you want to use.
  • Once permission is granted, email the permission letter to Sarah at sstierch at wikimedia dot org so she can file it.
  • Images may then be uploaded to Facebook with the appropriate license and credit.
