The partnership with the Brazilian Navy is a partnership with individual users from the Portuguese Wikipedia.
The main objective of the partnership is to create and promote articles related to the Brazilian Navy, obtain photographs and media to be uploaded in Commons and to teach new users on how to use the Wikimedia projects.
Main page
The main page of the Brazilian Navy partnership is in the Portuguese Wikipedia and it's made up by three parts: a portal page, a Task-Force page where it is registered all pages worked for the partnership, and Statistics, where we present some numbers about the rise in page views and other subjects.
Accomplishments so far
Since the beginning of the partnership, as of February 2023, we individuals that work for the partnership have accomplished the following:
- 2900+ photos and media ceded by the Brazilian Navy to Commons;
- 16 featured articles;
- 26 good articles;
- 75+ created articles;
- Sources added in dozens of articles;
In October 2021, the Brazilian Navy published an article in their website acknowledging and praising the partnership. The following article may be read here in English and here in Portuguese.
