Notes
editBack end development user stories
Manuscript Exchange Common Approach (MECA)
- is project to transfer reviews (and manuscripts) between journals
Simple Web-service Offering Repository Deposit (SWORD)
- SWORD2 might be sufficient
- SWORD3 will be better long term (not yet implemented in OJS, but likely upcoming next year)
- SWORD3 will likely not be back-compatible, so devving for SWORD2 would still need to be adapted (but should be relatively quick)
- Therefore probably best to implement basics now and update later
Declaring whether wish to be open - can be handled via custom form in OJS
Peer review forms currently have unlabelled fields - will need symbolic names (but some precedent elsewhere in system)
OJS Version
- Start using 3.3.0
- 3.4.0 (coming early next year) will include namespaces and aspects that will make API additions
