ウィキインダバ・カンファレンス（※1）はアフリカ地域ならびにルーツがアフリカにある（※2）人たちを対象にした地域カンファレンスです。2014年の第1回はウィキメディア南アフリカ協会（※3）主催によりヨハネスブルグ（南アフリカ）で開きました。 2017年にはガーナのアクラに移り、オープン財団西アフリカが主催。2018年はウィキメディア・チュニジアUG（※4）の手でチュニス（チュニジア）で催し、2019年版はウィキメディア利用者グループ・ナイジェリアが連邦首都のアブジャで主催しました。 2020年カンファレンスはウガンダのカンパラで開く予定を延期、2021年にバーチャル開催に変更してウィキメディアコミュニティUG・ウガンダが開いています。前回は2022年だったわけですが会場はルワンダのキガリで、ウィキメディア コミュニティ利用者グループ・ルワンダ が主催しました。（"※"：1＝WikiIndaba Conference。2＝ディアスポラ。3＝Wikimedia ZA。4＝Wikimedia TN user group。UGは以下、利用者グループの略号。）
2023年は、ウィキメディア・モロッコUG が第7回ウィキインダバ・カンファレンスの主催者として、 2023年11月3日から同月5日にわたり、開催都市アガディール（モロッコ）にて実施します。
目的
- Building capacity for African Wikimedians
- Fostering growth of the coverage and involvement of Africa in Wikimedia projects
- Connecting African Wikimedians both within the continent and in the diaspora
- Turn ideas into action
