WM-Emoji Twitter Bot is a project that aims at promoting Wikimedia Commons images on twitter, using a bot. This project or tool was developed as my Google Summer of Code 2018 project and the objective of this presentation is to create some awareness around the project and a call for contributions. The bot works by receiving any emoji twitted to it by a user and replies with an image from commons reflecting the emotion from the emoji sent. The presentation will have some demo of the bot and how we can play around with it, how we can contribute to it and why it is a useful project. For more info see the links below.

What will attendees take away from this session?

Attendees will learn about a new project, how to contribute to the project and how to use it. Attendees will also have a taste of the experience I had during the development of the project as my Google Summer of Code project
