Abstract: Abstract :There has been a recent discussion on Wiki women in red Telegram page around women support. While this is a great thing the discussion revealed that there are different kinds of support that could be relevant for women in different communities. This session will explore how women are supported in the Africa communities to participate in event example child care. The panel will discuss the types of support women find effective and lasting and both organizers and participants perspective, weighing the benefits and potential downsides as well as sustainability. The panel will also share success stories, examine challenges, and define what effective support looks like. By understanding both sides, our goal is to create a more inclusive and supportive environment for women in Wikimedia in Africa as this is one of the visions of the Africa Wiki Women. Join us to gain insights and contribute to the conversation on enhancing women's participation and leadership in Wikimedia projects.The session will feature a panel of women from various African countries and communities sharing their experiences.
