South Asia Open Community Call

About

The Open Community Calls (OCC) is an online space to share activities like Edit-a-thons, Workshops, and meetups (especially updates related to WikiConference India 2023) with a wider community audience who are contributing to Indic Wikimedia projects and beyond. This is a monthly call where communities come together. Everyone is welcome to participate, share their community activities, and ask questions in the moderated discussions.

• Any community member who is contributing to Wikimedia projects in the Indic language and beyond can join these calls.
• These are monthly calls which will be scheduled every month on a Sunday.
• Please click on this public link and add the Open Community Call calendar to get meeting invitation directly to your calendar, so that you don't miss out on any calls.
• To share your ideas/suggestions/thoughts with the organizers of OCC, you are free to use the talk page.

Call for Feedback on SAOCC

Since 2023, leading up to the Wiki Conference India 2023, the call organisers have been facilitating regular calls within the community. Initially convened as WCI pre-conference calls, these gatherings have transitioned into post-WCI calls. Throughout this journey, aimed to bring together the South Asian community every month to share updates and engage in discussions.

With over 17 editions, the call organisers are open to gathering your insights.

To this end, launching a brief survey (5-7 minutes) for April. Your feedback, preferences, and suggestions will be invaluable in shaping future editions of the call, ensuring its continued relevance and effectiveness as a forum for South Asian Communities.

The survey form is here, and the closing date of the survey is the 21st of April.

Note: The calls will continue in May after we have closed the form and collected all the feedback.
