- Abstract (maximum 500 words)
- Present generation medicine based mostly on chemical and organic formulations is showing several side effects. Also lack of effect of the antibiotics on micro organisms due antibiotic defense has made it difficult to further modify crucial antibiotics to next level. This awareness has made public to shift to natural and herbal applications for treating ailments and diseases.Indian traditional treatments of Ayurveda,Unani, and Siddha have shown to be highly effectual as remedies since ancient times.Present researches have also led their application in correcting certain dreaded diseases.A major advantage of these treatments is they are natural and they sincerely show no side effects unlike artificial present generation medications. Also one important aspect is their formulations can be home made, using easily obtainable resources from the nature like spices, condiments and other herbs.A tremendous modification and manipulation in these formulations(like recently read,ZINC BHASMA) is also taking us to greater possibilities of clearing diseases.Providing public with a easy and accessible knowledge to such treatments will be of a great help.Just like other sources lilke WebMD,Wikiveda can be something revolutionizing for community needs.Linking certain databases can help to create a great platform. This can thus help for health related traditional practices by public in India.
