- Purpose:
To have a social collaboration based sister site called WikiMe
Synopsis:
To be famous on wikipedia, you either have to be a billion dollar organisation,a superstar or a rockstar. What if a person like you and me create a wikipedia page, share with the world, ask his friends and family to review and edit it.Basically what i am suggesting is a building collaborative platform on top of the current wikipedia thus i call it WikiMe.In a gist, it will be a something that holds biography of people like you and me, subjected to peer reviews along with other collaborative applications like communities where people can discuss various topics and ideas.
In the current model, organisations, people and other entities are combined.I believe, wikipedia doesn't have to go under major facelift to become WikiMe because it is pretty much close to its parent site. However various rules need to be laid down which will prevent vandalism of the content.
