After the first year of implementing the new grant-making strategy of the Community Resources team at the Wikimedia Foundation, this session will share useful information about different funding opportunities offered. After a process of reviewing the different granting programs, the Community Resources team, in collaboration with regional communities around the world, redefined a new grant-making strategy in line with the movement strategic direction, with a focus on equity and building a thriving movement. The new grant strategy touches on areas of the desired impact, decentralization - power-sharing with a regional focus and substantial funding for the underrepresented, all of these with equity at the heart. |
