This talk would be about providing examples of how to incorportae the Syrian community in Wiki Arabia and it will discuss potential collaborations, workshops, events done in Syria in some academic environments, NGOs, and non-profit organizations.

Abstract : Despite of the fact that the Syrian war has been affecting everybody especially on the educational levels, Wikipedia has been one of the favorite resouces which are to be trusted and unquestionably followed by the academic scholars and the non academic individuals as well. These communities in Syria are quite intersted in contributing to this huge resource of information. This talk would shed the light on some entities that might constitue a big supporter and contributer to wikiarabia. It also discusses the different ways of incorpprating keen individuals in volunteerism in wikipedia.

They will have a closer look at working as a volunteer in wikipedia from somehow a diffeerent perspective. This talk would reinforce the diversity of the contributions of the different participants and attenddees in the conference since it represents a point of view of a large population in an Arabic speaking country. It investigates in potentials plans and ways of enriching the arabic content in wikipedia
