How to participate?

This Congress aims to put in dialogue research, reflections and experiences on the use of Wikimedia Projects and digital technologies in educational environments, being an open space for professionals from multiple disciplines and profiles. Therefore, those who wish to participate may do so in three types of modalities: academic papers, experience reports or workshop implementation. The presentation criteria for each of the modalities are presented below.

Academic papers

This format is intended for the presentation of academic research papers, both individual and collective, which may be initial phases of the research process or results of completed work.

Full papers should be submitted in PDF format in Arial or Times New Roman 11, 1.5 spacing. Maximum length: 11 pages.

Experience report

In this modality, we seek for reflections or report of experiences implemented or to be developed, both individual and collective, where the use of digital technologies is questioned, with special emphasis on Wikimedia Projects but not exclusively.

For the presentation of the proposal to the Academic Committee, a summary of no more than 500 words must be submitted, in Spanish, English and Portuguese, detailing the central aspects to be addressed in the experience report. The complete work may be presented in text or presentation form. Texts should be submitted in Word or PDF format, in Arial or Times New Roman 11 font, 1.5 spacing, and no longer than 7 pages. Presentations may not exceed 15 slides and must be submitted in PDF format.

Workshops

In this format, proposals are expected for the implementation of participatory workshops during the Congress, focused on doing, where the attendees have a leading role. The implementation of the workshop can be carried out by one person or by a group.

For the presentation of the proposal to the Academic Committee, a summary of no more than 500 words should be submitted, in Spanish, English and Portuguese, detailing the central aspects of the workshop to be implemented and specifying the estimated duration of the proposal. The final design and planning of the workshop should include: objectives, rationale for the proposal, minimum and maximum number of participants, technical requirements, duration, materials to be used, details of the previous knowledge required by the participants. This document must be submitted in PDF format, Arial or Times New Roman 11 font, 1.5 line spacing and a maximum of 5 pages.

Scholarships

At the time of submitting the abstract of the proposal, in any of its modalities, a scholarship to attend the Congress may be requested. The scholarship application is personal and individual. There are two types of scholarships.

Full scholarship

For regional and international participants. It includes transportation from the place of residence to La Plata, lodging and meals for the days of the Congress.

Partial scholarship

For participants from Argentina. Includes transportation from the place of residence to La Plata.
