Awarding of prizes
For competitions like Wiki Loves Monuments or the German-language Wikipedia writing competition, where open content is created thanks to voluntary work, Wikimedia organizations can provide prizes to motivate and show appreciation to contributors and winners.

Prizes awarded can for example include book vouchers, an excursion, or, in the case of photo competitions, photo vouchers or a high-quality framed picture of the corresponding photo. If you are involved in organizing a competition and would like to announce prizes, send an e-mail to the chapter of the country where you reside. Please indicate the competition and what prizes you have in mind.
