Utkal University workshop

Utkal University is one of the oldest university in Odisha with over 3000 students pursuing their master degrees. On 25 February 2016, an Odia Wikipedia workshop was organised inside the campus for the first time.

Theme

The theme of the event was to introduce Odia Wikipedia, Wikimedia Projects, and Bhubaneswar wiki Tungi to students of the university.

Workshop details

Workshop occurred for three hours in two part.

1. In the first part, An introduction to Open Source , Wikipedia , Odia Wikipedia and other Wikimedia projects was given at the seminar hall of the Utkal University.
2. In the second half Wikipedia editing was trained to the participants.

More than 70 students participated in seminar hall and from 70 participants 50+ participants were able to create their accounts and they edited more than 200+ time during the workshop.
