User preferences edit

@Perhelion: if the user import this script and then disable the WikiEditor toolbar or even the toolbar (e.g. to test something with the classical toolbar, or without any toolbar at all), it will override the user preference and still load WikiEditor. You should check the user preferences as in mw:Extension:WikiEditor/Toolbar customization#Basic setup before loading its modules with mw.loader.using. Helder 01:36, 18 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

@Helder.wiki   Done Thanks for any suggestion! I've also added your notify code!?   (I'll also give this back to the gadget) -- Perhelion (talk) 09:05, 18 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
@Perhelion: one more thing: When setting the 'class' attribute, you must always use quotes. See Setting 'class' attribute in bulk attribute syntax without quotes breaks IE/Opera (WAS Possible bug in 1.4). Helder 11:15, 18 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
Thank your for revisiting this code! If this "class" issue would be only for IE, then I would let it be.   I fix this on the next 2 smilies I add. An question, I think the code für the button hack could be also done withe the WikiEditor API, but I don't know. Best regards -- Perhelion (talk) 18:51, 18 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

How would I make this work on LQT enabled pages edit

In LQT threads, this toolbar addon does not work in edit view at all, but works fine on non LQT pages, and I wanted it to work on LQT pages. Is there a way to fix this? GethN7 (talk) 01:11, 30 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hej thanks for response. I've not tested it on LQT. I'll soon see what I can do, and I'll let you know.  User: Perhelion07:24, 30 September 2014 (UTC)Reply
@GethN7 It works now!?User: Perhelion22:51, 1 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
You must remove the old inclusion and use the actual here (described): c:SMirCUser: Perhelion10:55, 6 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
Thanks! Sorry I didn't get back to you earlier, my internet connection has been terrible lately. GethN7 (talk) 13:56, 13 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

We at All The Tropes wish to thank you for the emoticon script edit

I've been trying to implement this feature for awhile on LQT threads for our users' talk pages and our forums, and on behalf of my community, you have our gratitude for your hard work in creating this emoticon script, Perhelion.

If you wish to contribute to our wiki, we'd be glad to have you, but if not, we still thank you for your hard work and your contributions towards the wiki community. :) GethN7 (talk) 23:47, 14 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

Many thanks for your kindly praise. I'm happy you like it that much.   I'll take a look on your wiki. You can also contact me if you have some suggestions for an extension of this smiley set.User: Perhelion22:36, 16 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
Don't have any ideas for extending the emoticon set at present, but I did notice one small issue: The smiley bar renders fine on talk pages, but not in our forum namespace (uses LQT threads, using the same namespace for forums as the DPLforum extension), was wondering if you could tweak the code to allow it work there as well. GethN7 (talk) 01:07, 18 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
Oh* good hint. I've removed all namespace restrictions for LQT, I hope that works now!? I had unfortunately sporadically some 504 Gateway Time-out and 403 Forbidden errors!? PS: It's a big page, see you use also the normal talkpage edit? If so, I've another beta script for automatic signing.[1] GreetingsUser: Perhelion07:03, 18 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, turns out Orain's servers have been straining to handle lots of processes of late, planning to expand our number of servers to remedy the issue of 403/504's. Thanks for the modified script, and that autosigning script looks awesome, thanks for sharing! GethN7 (talk) 19:27, 18 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
Just showing up to add you might wish to modify that "you need the enhanced toolbar" message to be a dismissible edit notice or something similar, as the current version is pretty naggy. Also, the third row of emoticons doesn't show up well. That aside, works great. GethN7 (talk) 00:18, 12 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
Hello GethN7, I could simply remove this message. There is no third row intended. But I can made the two rows longer. Which resolution do you use? (PS: I'm not a native Englsih speaker I must google some words, they also Google-translate don't knows). GreetingsUser: Perhelion13:03, 13 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, removing the message would be good (adding a commented out note to the script it requires the enhanced toolbar would be good. Also, I have s small monitor at 1024 x 768. GethN7 (talk) 17:01, 14 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
Done Thanks GethN7 for the report. I've added an low resolution workaround (seems a WikiEditor bug). Will it work?User: Perhelion02:24, 16 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
PS: If there is a need of a 800px display, I could do dynamically three rows!?User: Perhelion16:37, 16 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

What you added should be good enough. Seems to work fine. GethN7 (talk) 17:46, 17 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

We upgraded MW 1.24 on ATT, now the emoticons seem broken edit

First, happy holidays! Also, it seems the emoticon script is broken ever since our wiki upgraded to 1.24. The script is loading according to the developer console, but the toolbar doesn't show up in WikiEditor, not sure what the issue is. If you could look at this, it would be appreciated. GethN7 (talk) 17:44, 21 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hello GethN7 and happy holidays too! Hm* I don't know what happens, the LQT on MediaWiki works. I've done a small change. The problem still exists?User: Perhelion  22:53, 22 December 2014 (UTC)Reply
I'm not sure what the issue is either. We had some server changes recently and it may have messed up something, so I'll get back to you after Christmas if it doesn't improve soon. GethN7 (talk) 06:04, 23 December 2014 (UTC)Reply
@GethN7 I've made some changes, but I see now what happens. LQT is discontinued and not more active, there is VisualEditor instead now (this talk version look nice). I must look what I can do, there seems not many documentation for manipulation of this.User: Perhelion  18:30, 23 January 2015 (UTC)Reply
