Might be the wrong place to comment, but... This is way beyond my meager technical knowledge, it looks very impressive - but is this really a good idea? I thought the confirmation-process was more about evaluating comments than about counting "votes" (as per your note 1) - is there really a fixed 80% threshold for this as well?

Anyways, if my oversaturated comment to Cary is the one preventing yourself from reaching 100% - you may safely count that as a confirm as well :) Finn Rindahl 00:36, 17 February 2010 (UTC)

Hi Finn. Don't worry, I already counted your comment as favouring confirmation. :)

The confirmation discussions are naturally difficult to summarize, because they are a discussion. However, it is still useful to provide a simple visual summary in this way so users know where to focus their particular attention. Lar's confirmation is a case in point: when it slipped into the red, the number of commentators rebounded spectacularly. In counterpoint, many unanimous keeps have gotten little attention. I don't mind tweaking the threshold if you think a different value might be more accurate; but as a rough indicator of the discussion's tendency, the support ratio seems to be fairly accurate. —Pathoschild 01:55:39, 17 February 2010 (UTC)
