NPOV? This is meta and we are having an election. Elections are POV and I'm simply placing the top contender at top, second place second, third place third -- I'm not making-up the placements. That is logical and useful. --Maveric149

This is not elections, this is brainstorming first

This is only *your* logic. Other logical could be to let them in the order they were proposed. Another would be by alphabetical order. Classifying them by order of preference is just *one* logic.

Useful : no it is not useful. People working in communication know very well the importance of rank in a page. Many readers read only top, not bottom. Most readers are influenced in their choice by what they read first. Ranking that way is usuful only to people favoring these choices on top.

It is a quite famous technique to let less-favored choices in the dark (at the bottom) to ensure they won't be chosen. In some countries, there are even only two political parties. That's a good way to shut up other choices.

You are right, choosing a mascot is POV, but why would *your* POV orient the choice ?

It is not my POV that is choosing what is most popular. Everyone, by their votes are choosing what is most popular. When writing articles we do not subvert majority views by placing minority before them and we do not give more text and more prominence to minority viewpoints than majority ones. Yes many readers only read at the top - so what? I'm just giving them the opportunity to quickly see what everybody else thinks is the best choice so far. Anything else would be like having the first part of an article on the Apollo Moon landings about the conspiracy theory that NASA faked the launches and landings. You tell me which is more neutral. --mav
It is a real pleasure to discuss with someone who refuse to listen to another; Have you noticed I write something over your text, or are you just playing death ?
I repeat, classifying them in order of votes is only one choice, there are other choices; these choices are just as good than *your* choice. And please stop pretending you are doing it in the majority name. It is true you put the majority of "votes" at the top, but it is not because these people vote for this design that they vote for this design to be placed at the top of the page. You are totally confusing people voting for a design and people voting for you. Land on Earth, not on Moon !
You are *totally alone* reverting our choice of mixing. Have you noticed ?

And what choice of order do you suggest that is not based on an arbitrary choice by you? Perhaps alphabetical order is best or the order that the mascots were placed on the page. But it is wrong to arbitrarily choose the order. Doing so only reflects the opinion of what should be on top by the person doing the ordering. --Maveric149
