Asian month in Arabic Wikipedia

Hi dear. Thank you very much for help in my talk page. Due to my work as physician in hospital during Covid-19 pandemic, I was not able to add all participants to the fountain tool but I added the majority of them. I had those users not added yet @Majd7597, Omar MYH, Simazarustom, Noor Bilal Alsarayreh, Mirnaalassaf, and Demamakhadmeh: so could you please open the submitting button for additional days for me to add them as they are new comers who informed us about their contributions recently. Hi Ericliu1912, currently Fountain contains no analytics of any sort but there is an API that is open to anyone who wishes to use the data about marks and jury members who assigned them :-) You can access it from the Network tab of your browser or by substituting the code of your editathon here instead of the word TITLE:

Greek version of Wikigap

Hi. Could you delete the three pages for the Greek Wikigap in Fountain? Two of these are set to end in August 4th (wrong date), while all are set to begin on March 6th. As the beginning date was reset to March 8th in order to be coterminous with Wikigap Challenge (the international contest for women organised by Swedish wikimedians) and all of the titles, WikiGap 2021, Wiki Gap 2021 στην Ελλάδα are already used, I ask you to delete this three editathon-related pages in order to register them under the correct title and date. Template generation not happening properly

I am an editor in Malayalam wikipedia and would like to point out an issue related to your Foundation tool. While adding articles using Foundation tool, it adds a template to the talk/discussion page of the specific article. In that template, it is automatically adding two and which leads to the article not categorizing correctly and the text displayed is {created=yes}. I would like to know whether there is any method to resolve this problem.

Fountain tool

Hello Ле Лой,

as the Asian Month is approaching once more, I have a question and wish about the Fountain tool. Normally, the quantitative criteria for successful article submissions are very strict (e.g. 300 words, 3000 bytes) and your tool counts these when I want to add an article. Adding is only possible, if those criteria are met. That means that all articles in the tool list fulfilled the criteria when they were added.

It’s the nature of a wiki that others might change the article, so it happens that due to those edits by »third parties« (neither the author nor a Asian Month jury member etc.) the criteria are not fulfilled anymore. This is, then, not the fault of the original author and competition participant. Last year, my article Eslite was not counted, even when I added it, it was long and big enough.

Do you have any idea how we can prevent such problems this year? Maybe there should be a hint in the jury view saying that this version might actually differ from the originally submitted version, including a permalink to that version? That would be fair and helpful.

Or do you have another idea? I just have to say that it didn’t feel very good to be able to add articles and later realize they are not counted, regardless it’s not in my power.

Hi @Camouflaged Mirage, Fountain only counts coherent text and does not count characters/words in tables, quotes, lists, footnotes, headers and comments. The article in question includes a long list that is not included into the final calculation. Replacing this list with a coherent paragraph will help. I have opened the contest page so that the author can finish working on the article and submit it.
