About me

Hi! I'm Brazilian and I've been involved with Wikimedia as a volunteer since 2015; first editing Wikipedia in Spanish (I lived in Madrid from 2008-2016) and since 2019 (I moved to Lisbon in 2016) editing Wikipedia in Portuguese. Sometimes I also contribute to Wikidata and Commons. Back in 2015, I started contributing thanks to an editathon organized by Patricia Horrillo from Wikiesfera at the MediaLab Prado in Madrid; this experience gave me a very special sense of community power, which I later had the chance to try again with some peers in Lisbon, when in May 2019 we cofounded Wiki Editoras Lx. It has been an amazing learning journey since then! Read more about my volunteering at my volunteer userpage; I will use my former account for all my volunteer work on the wikis.

Random fun facts about me: I firmly believe that you're what your community is. I'm interested/or involved with Culture, Arts, Gastronomy, Languages, Cinema, Commons, Communication. And Feminism.

My work

From October 2021 to April 2023 I served as Movement Strategy and Governance Regional Facilitator (Latin America and the Caribbean) at the Wikimedia Foundation. Currently, I am Senior Program Officer, Gender Organizing, at the Advancement Department of the organization. Details about my professional background can be reviewed on LinkedIn.

Disclaimer: I work for or provide services to the Wikimedia Foundation, and this is the account I try to use for edits or statements I make in that role. However, the Foundation does not vet all my activity, so edits, statements, or other contributions made by this account may not reflect the views of the Foundation.
