I am a passionate supporter and contributor to open knowledge and open data projects. As such, I have been contributing to Wikimedia since 2002 and to OpenStreetMap since 2007 and I support and promote efforts for the Wikimedia and OSM communities to have more collaborations and joint projects.
Wikimedia and OSM have been using each other's tools and data. This includes OpenStreetMap using MediaWiki as its engine for both the main OSM community wiki and the OpenStreetMap Foundation website and adapting policies used by the Wikimedia Foundations such as the Trademark Policy and Terms of Use, and Wikimedia using OSM as its data source to power its various map services.

The table below are presentations and lightning talks I gave at various conferences talking about OSM–Wikimedia collaborations and issues. Since 2017, these are presentations given as a member of the Wikimaps User Group, which is an official Wikimedia affiliate dedicated to sharing and expanding the use of geographical data within the Wikimedia movement.
