Comparisons of some West Germanic languages edit

As research[1] shows, the closer speech comes to the vernacular, the more likely it is using more words, and the more often complete subsentences are being used as modifiers of more abstract or general concepts; also it shifts from a relatively high weight of nouns to a relatively higher weight of verbs for the transport of meaning. For instance, compare these versions of message MediaWiki:Renameuserreserve in some related languages, ordered by their lengths:

English:
Reserve the old username from further use
German:
Blockiere alten Benutzernamen für eine Neuregistrierung
Dutch:
Voorkomen dat de oude gebruiker opnieuw wordt geregistreerd
Limburgian:
XX
Low German:
XX
Luxemburgian:
XX
Kölsch:
Donn dä Name fun dämm Metmaacher dobei sperre, dat_e nit norrens neu aanjemelldt weed.
