Jim Maddock
Data Analyst, Wikimedia Foundation
About me
I joined the the Design team at the Wikimedia Foundation on April 2020 as a Data Analyst. I am also a 5th year PhD student at Northwestern University in the Computer Science and Communications departments.
My work
I study collaboration within large online communities, with a specific interest in multi-language and multi-cultural platforms. I am advised by Darren Gergle, and I currently collaborate with Aaron Shaw. My dissertation work focuses on building socio-technical systems for identifying knowledge gaps in peer produced knowledge repositories (like Wikipedia!)
