Spreadsheets are a common method for calculations. I use them very often and like that way of calculation. If a Spreadsheet is used from many different people it is from my point of view better to use other applications like web applications or desktop programs. In the past I wished a possibility to be able to create programs with a Spreadsheet and then converting it. There is the new Wikimedia project Wikifunctions currently in a Beta State. The goal is collecting function implementations. These functions will be used to generate texts from an abstract notation. To enable people to be able to contribute to Wikifunction if they know how Spreadsheets work and how to use the functions within I write since more than two years a program for the automatic conversion of Spreadsheetfunctions to source code. I have rewritten it several times since then and hope the program will work soon.
