This is an overview about my thoughts about the Form 990. I will list here proposals how I think that the Wikimedia Foundation can fill out the Form 990 faster. These are my own views and I can not say that these are correct. This is the link to the Form 990 of the Fiscal year 2019-2020. Based on this form I will write my thoughts.

Form 990 Part I

PART I COLUMN (B)

The number of contributions can be easily be evaluated, from my point of view.

Form 990 (2019) Part III

FORM 990, PART III, LINE 1 - ORGANIZATION'S MISSION

This can be propably copied from the last year.

FORM 990, PART III - PROGRAM SERVICE, LINE 4A

This can be propably copied from the last year.

FORM 990, PART III - PROGRAM SERVICE, LINE 4B

This can be propably copied from the last year.

FORM 990 PART VI, LINE 7A

The number of seats of the board and how they are related needs an regular review if the information is current or needs to be updated. The basic text can be copied.

FORM 990 PART VI, LINE 11A

The explanation how the review process of the Form 990 works does not change so much propably related to last year and so it can be copied.

FORM 990 PART VI, LINE 12

The description about conflict of interest can be copied to next year.

FORM 990, PART VI, LINES 15A & 15B

I think the description how compensation decisions are made there does not change and can be propably copied from last year.

FORM 990, PART VI, LINE 17 - STATES

If the criteriea is known, I think the requirement List the states with which a copy of this Form 990 is required to be filed can be generated easily.

FORM 990 PART VI, LINE 19

This can be propably copied from last year. The links at the website dont change often.

Form 990 (2019) Part VII:

Compensation of Officers, Directors, Trustees, Key Employees, Highest Compensated Employees, and Independent Contractors

I think the content of this section can come directly from the System used for the management of the Human Resources Payments.

COMPENSATION OF THE FIVE HIGHEST PAID IND. CONTRACTORS

I think this is a list that should be easy to generate. For that you need master data about the companies that deliver something to the Wikimedia Foundation.

FORM 990 PART XI

The amout of unused grants is from my point of view easy to evaluate. You know what you granted and how much of this was used.--Hogü-456 (talk) 18:35, 2 February 2022 (UTC)

Statement of Activities Outside the United States

I think that for that it is possible to take the grant report for that. There is a overview about the activities per region.

Grants and Other Assistance to Organizations, Governments, and Individuals in the United States

I think that there also the information should be available in a structured way.
