Primary sources tool[1]

The user can approve/reject a new claim proposed by the tool.

  1. The new claim is highlighted with a blue background
  2. The user can approve or reject the new claim by clicking on the links "approve claim" and "reject claim"
  3. After that the page will update with the new claim in the first case or without it in the second one.

In the same way as for the new claims the tool can suggest new references for a statment.[2]

  1. The new reference is highlighted with a blue background.
  2. The user can approve, reject the new reference clicking on the links "approve reference" and "reject reference".
  3. The user can also view a preview tooltip that shows where the source came from clicking on "preview reference".[3][4]

Primary sources filter (ex PS list)

The tool is in the "Tools" section of the left menu with the name "Primary Sources filter". Through it the user can filter new claims/references in several modes, by[5]:

  • "Domain of interest": filter by property "instance of" (P31) (example: list all elements that are chemical compound)
  • "Property": shows only new statement of this property (example: I want to add only "date of birth" Property:P569).
  • "SPARQL Query": this field accepts SPARQL query.
  • "Source language": shows only new statement in selected language.
  • "Dataset": let you choose a specific datastet (or more than one) to use.

After completing the form, the tool shows a list (table) of statement in which the user can "approve", "reject" or "preview" the source of the reference like in PST.

Primary sources configuration

  1. Clicking on the configuration icon   a modal will open.[6][7][8]
  2. The user can search and select which dataset will be used by PST.
  3. The user can view "Dataset description", "total statements" and "missing statements".
  4. The user can "Save" or "Cancel" his new configurations.

Random Primary Sources item

  1. The user can jump to a new random PS item by clicking on the "Random Primary Sources item" located in the main menu on the left side
  2. The item will be randomly extracted form the set of the datasets selected in the Primary sources configuration

Browse Primary Sources

  1. The user can move to the top of the page by clicking on the "back to top" button found in the "Browse Primary Sources" menu on the left side
  2. The user can navigate through the various claims that need to be approved / rejected by clicking on the corrisponding link under the "Browse Primary Sources" menu on the left side
