The word "Sichuan" is the modern Romanized pinyin pronounciation of "四川". This kind of language is mainly used in Sichuan(include Chongqing)

In China it's not taught in school, but some old teachers who cannot speak Mandarin(Putonghua) in Sichuan use this language to teach.

Ethnolinguistic identity:Sichuanese Mandarin has a very long history:BC316,Qin country had annihilated Bashu country,the central plains of China of people had entered Sichuan;Turning of Yuan-Ming Dynasties,because of Anti-yuan dynasty war,most people of Sichuan was killed,sharp decrease in populationand business is depressionly.So people of Hu'guang(now Hubei Province and Hunan province),Gangdong and Jiangxi began to enter into Sichuan;Turning of Ming-qing Dynasties,Sichuan was destroyed again,so the government of Qing organised another migration movements,and people who had migrate took up 30% of total number.At the same time,they had brought their accent.South of Sichuan had been influence but north of Sichuan not.At the same time,People of Hu'guang,Gangdong and Jiangxi entered Sichuan again,so it ruptured West Chuan accent,East Chuan accent.

Informal domains:During period of time of the old man playing cards,they always uses Sichuanese Mandarin.And actors of Sichuan opera always use Sichuanese Mandarin.There are many opus about Sichuanese Mandarin,such as Stagnant water Ripples(死水微澜,Written By Li Jieren[李劼人]),and the Happy Henpecked Man(Directed by Cui Lei[崔磊]) and so on.

By discussing with other Sichuanese Mandarin speaker and browsing the Wikipedia,I learned how my language different from the Mandarin(also konwn as Putonghua、普通話)

There are many teachers from other provinces in my school and most of them speak North Mandarin(北方官話).Sichuanese Mandarin is also regarded as a Mandarin,but I just discovered that they can hardly understand my language.
