In a one-hour workshop, learn how to create a Turkic people gazetteer by gathering geospatial and cultural data from OpenStreetMap (OSM), Wikipedia, SPARQL queries (Wikidata), and the Overpass API. Discover data processing techniques, database design using PostgreSQL/PostGIS, and geospatial indexing for advanced querying. Explore ways to enrich the dataset with historical and cultural details. Design a user-friendly interface with uMap integration.
