You should directly copy the {{#time...}} code, unless your language needs very different formatting for the "$defaultformat" part. In that case: see mw:Help:Extension:ParserFunctions#.23time for documentation, or compare with the "All translations" listing for examples (e.g. Chinese or Finnish).
