In this issue we highlight design work on the Library Card platform, three new partners, #1Lib1Ref, and, as always, a roundup of news and community items related to libraries and digital knowledge.

New Library Card platform design

The Wikipedia Library is working on design improvements for the site. A new design for the My Library page highlights a new Favourites feature, and should make the page more intuitive for users. Filters allow for collections to be browsed quickly to locate those of interest. A cross-collection search is also planned. A new homepage design for non-logged-in users is now live.

New partnerships

The Wikipedia Library is announcing signups today for free, full-access, accounts for several new partners:

Other partnerships with accounts available are listed on our partners page.

1Lib1Ref

The most recent iteration of 1lib1ref ran from 15 May to 5 June. This campaign calls on librarians around the world, and anyone who has a passion for free knowledge, to add missing references to articles on Wikipedia. This iteration saw over 8500 references added by over 400 editors across multiple projects. #1lib1ref on Wikidata, led by an IFLA working group, saw over 14,000 references added! Planned improvements to the Programs & Events Dashboard should also improve tracking for future campaigns.
