Usage

Apply this template to the top of pages when there is a need to identify the Wikimedia community as the maintainer of the page. The usual circumstance which causes confusion is a misunderstanding that only paid staff of the Wikimedia Foundation should have editorial control over a page.

Meta-Wiki is Wikimedia project in which the Wikimedia community develops its own documentation for governing and maintaining the Wikimedia projects.

Meta-Wiki differs from WikimediaFoundation.org, which is a website entirely under the control of paid employees of the Wikimedia Foundation. The Wikimedia Community process has editorial authority in Meta-Wiki, and Wikimedia Foundation employees have editorial authority at WikimediaFoundation.org.
