As of March 2022, COVID-19 guidelines are no longer required. For more information, read the Diff post on the removal of the COVID-19 travel policy.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Due to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, all in-person or offline events funded by the Wikimedia Foundation's grants have been indefinitely cancelled or postponed. Funding is still available for online events and other needs.

All offline (in-person) public events funded by Rapid Grants, Project Grants, or Annual Plan Grants must be cancelled or postponed until further notice.
Instructions related to events funded through Conference & Event Grants are detailed in this e-mail sent on 24 March 2020.
Cancellation fees, other penalties, and expenses already incurred can be covered through grant funds.
We will not be approving grants for offline events until further notice.
Please contact your program officers for further guidance.
