Tamil Wikisource Workshop, Salem/Feedback/பா.தென்றல்

Feedback 2 days Wiki Source Workshop held at Salem on 08th and 9th of June, 2019

Mr.Jayanta Nath, Calcutta, by a ppt gave elaborate and comprehensive notes on i) digital library, establishment of Wikipedia, Wikisource and Wikidata ii) similarities and differences between Wikipedia and Wikisource iii) special characteristics iv) templates to be used v) workflow of Wikisource vi) sources, scanning, copyright check, licence details vii) proof reading, etc.

    Meanwhile the interesting lectures, he interacted among the wikipedians too. 

In appropriate places, Mr. Balaji accompanied him and Mr. Tamil parithi Mari, Mr.Thakaval uzhavan, Mr. Neechalkaran, Mr. Moorthy, Mr. Tamil kurisil joined with him and gave crystal like explanations in Tamil.

Mrs. Parvathi Sri பார்வதி ஸ்ரீ has made the workshop arrangements lovely and rendered a comfortable accommodation and pleasant hospitality.

Mr. Ditto Dutta, led us to group discussions on future works and goals of Tamil Wikisource and started the follow up works immediately.

Finally, Mr. Balu presented the sweetest K2 Salem special sweet mangoes to all.

By this 2 days workshop, we all the participants were encouraged, motivated and guided to contribute more to Tamil Wikisource.
