Citation databases are a recurrent topic on the BOAI forum on Open Access, as they are important both in quantifying the use of Open Access repositories, and in encouraging their further use.

  • PLoS - Creative Commons Attribution License
  • The Journal of Computer-Mediated Communication claims to be open-access but uses a copyright form that says "The Author hereby grants and assigns to the Journal all rights, title, and interest in and to the Work. Such transfer of copyright gives the Journal the exclusive right to reproduce and distribute the Work."
