Talk:Wikimedia Macau/Charter/en/20110128
Hello,
thank you for the update and sorry for the delay. As far as I can tell, the new version has only a few big changes, of which the goals is the most important. Going through the updated version and the questions for the old version, I came up with the questions below as still open. Some of them will probably be only minor questions, and not required changes - but it would be good to note that you thought about it. I tried to differentiate between the minor and important points with (m) for minor points/questions and (X) for very important points. If there is no indication, it is somewhere in between. Some of the questions were originally asked by a colleague, but I only put the open questions below - the ones I left out can be considered resolved. I also added some questions sparked by the changes.
Thanks,

edit- Is the President of the General Assemblee the same person as the President of the Executive Committee? And the VP's?
- Can be.--Whhalbert 14:00, 5 March 2011 (UTC)
- We do not understand the role and authority and the difference between: Representative committee/council, supervision committee, executive committee, and are the role as chair related to the general assembly or the executive comittee. Could you clarify?
- RepCon is elected by members, and calls for a General Assembly. The GA, the ultimate source of power, elects the President, the ExCo and SupCo. The two Councils runs as administrative branch and supervisory branch when the GA is not operating. The President of the ExCo is elected by members of the ExCo. --Whhalbert 14:00, 5 March 2011 (UTC)
- So, if I understand correctly, there are:
- General Assembly
- Representative Council
- Executive Committee
- Supervision Committee
- President of the association
- and the president of the association could be at the same time also a member of the executive committee (and president of the executive committee). Sounds very complicated (although not a problem for recognition, I can imagine that it is unpractical for you) Effeietsanders 09:48, 16 March 2011 (UTC)

Chapter II Nature
edit- (m) can you please explain this a bit better? Also the Chinese version was not understood. What is the intention? Is it a legal requirement?
- As explained last time, the "only" is to prevent other organization using our name to do other things, especially those defaming Wikimedia. "Non-profit" means we are not running for the members' economic benefits. "Independent" means we are free from political and business interference.--Whhalbert 14:00, 5 March 2011 (UTC)
- Clear, thank you Effeietsanders 09:49, 16 March 2011 (UTC)

Chapter IV Organization
edit- IV-2: What does the proportion mean? (idem art. V-1-II)
- This means each ten members select a representative. For example, when the organization has 100 members, there shall be 10 reps.--Whhalbert 14:00, 5 March 2011 (UTC)
Chapter V General Assembly
edit- V-A-2: this sentence is very unclear to me. It would be appreciated if someone could check the translation.
- The RepCon, elected by the members, is the only body to call for an Assembly.--Whhalbert 14:00, 5 March 2011 (UTC)
