@Elitre (WMF): It doesn't relate at all—the digest has been several weeks in planning and sprung from an idea from Jeff Elder, the new Digital Communications Manager. This is first aimed at communities beyond the English Wikipedia that don't have their own sources of community news, and second as a supplement to catch items that places like the Signpost, Kurier, or the recently put-on-hiatus RAW don't cover.
